It’s not much of a development, but my paycheck cleared in miraculously short order and I was able to put the parts on order from www.usbtypewriter.com. I was hoping that getting these parts on order would allow me to get a head start on the soldering, but it looks like I need the typewriter to measure out where the components need to be.
I do have to give a lot props to Jack Zylkin, the mastermind at USBtypewriter. He did most of the work here, I’m just trying to take this to the next step. This guy applied some in depth computing knowledge and applied the craftsmanship to make this thing happen. The kit is a bit dear at $76 after shipping, but I’m happy to support this guy.
Check out the instruction page if you’re wondering what I”m in for.
